Buh Bye 2020! See you in 2021!
Oy, this year was a challenge and it was fun and it was aggravating and it was fantastic. All at the same time! I learned a lot (Lesson 1: old dogs CAN learn new tricks!) and I worked a lot more behind the counter (Lesson 2: our customers are AWESOME!) and I pivoted….and pivoted…and pivoted (Lesson 3: pivoting makes you tired.)
I owe so much to you, our loyal and generous customers, for coming to see us, for ordering online, for respecting the safety guidelines without making us feel bad, for your generous financial support, and for all your words of encouragement. Lesson 4: you guys care a LOT about small business. In a year when it would have been so much easier (and cheaper) to shop the big boys, you took the time to shop small. You can’t possibly know how much that means to a small shop’s financial and mental health!
I would be remiss if I didn’t thank my incredible teammates, Nancy and Kerry, who also did a lot of pivoting and adjusting. I appreciate their willingness to work in such an uncertain environment and their ability to provide fantastic customer service from 6 feet with a mask on. (Lesson 5: Smizing is underrated!)
So, thank you from the bottom of my squishy, mooshy heart. I’m looking forward to 2021 with a lot of hope and I hope you are too!
We are closed January through March to do some renovations and rest up, but will reopen in April with a fresh new look!
