You've probably noticed that The Happy Woman® store has plenty of attitude. Well, we also have strong opinions about women and happiness too. We believe that every woman has the right to a shot at happiness. To that end, each year we choose an organization in our community that supports the needs of women and/or children and lend them a financial hand throughout that year.

This year, we're doing something a little bit different. We're excited to announce the 1st Annual Andrea Dykstra Life Coaching Scholarship. Beginning May 1st and continuing through June 30, 2009, The Happy Woman store will be taking applications for our 1st annual Life Coaching Scholarship given in memory of my friend, Andrea Dykstra. Andrea had an incredible zeal for life and I know that she would be thrilled to be part of offering this scholarship to someone who wants to create a life filled with happiness, but needs a little help to get there. The award of this scholarship will give the recipient three coaching sessions with life coach, Debby Werthmann.

Debby has an absolute, unbridled passion for helping clients open up to new perspectives, gain clarity about their dream, and verbalize why they want it. She believes the "why" is what drives and propels her clients to the next level. Debby teaches personal development and coaches her clients to take action steps out of their comfort zone so they being living their dream. She works with individuals that are stuck and ready to move forward by:

• Mentoring them through what is holding them back
• Teaching them how to create a vision, design and live their best life - now.
• Supporting, teaching and leading people to the place they want to be regardless of where they are in the process.

Her methodology has been developed through her trainings, certifications, and lifelong, self-study of personal development. All of Debby's coaching sessions will be done by phone, so geographic location is not an issue.
